The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture hosted one of the most concrete and valuable examples of industry-university collaboration. Two fully equipped control and automation panels were donated to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering by Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation.

In this context, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil presented plaques to Rockwell Automation Sales Team Leader Serhat Ünal Özel, Rockwell Automation Unit Manager Umut Kiper, and Dr. Semih Öngir from PETLAS A.Ş., who supported the process, in recognition of their educational support for the youth, the future of our nation. The meeting took place at the Rector’s Office with Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Dean Prof. Dr. Levent Urteekin and faculty members from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering also in attendance.
The donated panels will not only help the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture achieve its goal of training competent engineers in the fields of industrial automation, control systems, and PLCs, and elevate our students’ practical skills to the highest level, but they will also make a significant contribution to enabling our students to apply their theoretical knowledge in accordance with industrial standards.
