The 20th Anniversary Folk Music Concert was organized in partnership with the Abdallık Tradition and Neşet Ertaş Application and Research Center and the Kırşehir City Council. The concert took place on May 5, 2026 at the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center’s July 15 National Will Hall. Attendees included Director of the Abdallık Tradition and Neşet Ertaş Application and Research Center Prof. Dr. Salahaddin Bekki, President of the Kırşehir City Council Müfit Göçen, the Kırşehir City Council’s Eski Dostlar Folk Music Ensemble, deans, directors, academic and administrative staff, city council members, and students.

The opening speech of the concert was delivered by the Chairman of the Kırşehir City Council Müfit Göçen who stated that the council was pleased to participate in the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Noting that they would continue to strengthen their collaboration with our university, Göçen expressed his hope that the concert would be an enjoyable event.

Afterwards, Director of the Abdallık Tradition and Neşet Ertaş Application and Research Center Prof. Dr. Salahaddin Bekki took the floor and delivered a welcoming speech. Explaining that they had organized such a special event to build bridges of the heart and forge a path from heart to heart, Bekki thanked the Kırşehir City Council for their cooperation.

Following the opening and welcome speeches, the event moved on to a concert performed by the Kırşehir City Council’s Eski Dostlar Folk Music Ensemble. The ensemble performed Neşet Ertaş’s folk songs, giving the audience an enjoyable time. After the concert, certificates were presented to the participants.
