The Central Anatolia Career Fair (İKAF’26) began in Konya, hosted by Selçuk University, under the theme “The Era of Youth Productivity Regional Career Fair.” The fair began on April 27, 2026, at the Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center with a high number of participants, including Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, staff from the Office of Corporate Communications, members of the Konya protocol, representatives from the public sector, universities, and the private sector, as well as students.

Offering career opportunities particularly to university students, IKAF’26 began with opening speeches. In their remarks, participants noted that IKAF’26 is one of the region’s most comprehensive fairs, emphasizing that universities are no longer merely centers of knowledge but also important institutions that prepare students for the business world. Speakers emphasized that IKAF’26 is a significant gathering for both students and the business world, highlighting the importance of students and industry representatives taking advantage of this opportunity.

IKAF’26 is a significant event that not only offers job and internship opportunities but also helps young people develop themselves, gain new perspectives, and build strong connections with the business world. The Kırşehir Ahi Evran University booth will be present at the fair to welcome visitors throughout the event. Kırşehir Ahi Evran University’s innovative educational models, achievements in quality initiatives, and projects contributing to regional development were presented in detail to participants.

In a brief assessment of IKAF’26, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil noted that such activities make significant contributions to both the academic community and the business world, adding that they also serve as a valuable guide for students. Explaining that, as a university, they not only equip students with academic knowledge but also prepare them to meet the needs of the industry, Rector Karahocagil said, “İKAF’26 helps our students see internship and job opportunities firsthand and develop their perspectives regarding the business world.”
