Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil held important meetings in Afyonkarahisar on April 17, 2026, with the aim of strengthening cooperation among universities. During his visit, Rector Karahocagil first met with Rector of Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Adem Aslan and they exchanged views on the development of the universities.

During his visit to Afyonkarahisar, Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil visited the SANJET geothermal power plant in the Sandıklı district. There, he received information about the facility from officials and had the opportunity to assess on-site the work being carried out in the context of geothermal resource utilization, sustainable energy, and regional development initiatives.

As part of his visit to Afyonkarahisar, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil met with Rector of Afyon Kocatepe University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş. During the meeting held in a cordial atmosphere, Rector Karahocagil and Rector Karakaş exchanged views on the universities’ academic and scientific work as well as their socio-cultural activities.

Noting that universities sharing their productive collaborations and best practices with one another is crucial for the development of higher education in Turkey, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed his gratitude to Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Aslan, Rector of Afyon Kocatepe University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş, and the officials of SANJET heating plant for their hospitality. During the visit, Rector Karahocagil was accompanied by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş.
