Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University (KAEU), met with Consul General Levent Gürcan during an official visit to the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Turkistan on April 2, 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding academic cooperation between the two nations. Both parties engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views regarding the implementation of planned joint projects and strategic initiatives. As part of the Kazakhstan program, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil visited the Mausoleum of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi and noted that the observations he made at this exceptional site—one of the most important symbols of our deep-rooted cultural heritage—provided an opportunity to appreciate the profound traces of the past firsthand. Karahocagil noted that the visit reinforced their determination to take stronger and more resolute steps toward the future, inspired by our ancestors.

As part of the program organized as part of the “Ahi Evran and Ahilik Symposium on the Path of Ahmet Yesevi,” Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil met with Bayram Bilgi Tokel, one of the leading figures in Turkish folk music. During the meeting, discussions focused on cultural and artistic endeavors.
