Students from the Ministry of National Education’s Kırşehir Hacı Fatma Erdemir Anatolian High School visited our university. During the trip, held on March 12, 2026, in cooperation with the Kırşehir Provincial Directorate of National Education and our University’s Corporate Communications Coordinatorship, students visited the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, the National Technology Workshop, and the Central Library.
As part of the visit, students toured the laboratories of the Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Genetic and Bioengineering, and Electrical-Electronics Engineering departments within the faculty. There, they received information regarding ongoing academic research and the available research infrastructure. During the presentations conducted by faculty members, students were briefed on the equipment used in the laboratories, active projects, and the various fields of study within engineering disciplines. Following the laboratory visits, the students had the opportunity to attend several lectures in the Mechanical and Electrical-Electronics Engineering departments, allowing them to observe the university environment firsthand and gain insight into engineering education.
As part of the tour, students were also briefed on the projects conducted by the Teknofest teams operating within the faculty. By receiving detailed information on technology development processes and competition preparations, the students had the opportunity to closely observe project-based work in the field of engineering.
Following the program, students visited the National Technology Workshop operating within the faculty and rovided detailed information regarding the ongoing activities at the workshop. During the visit, students were briefed on the facilities available for developing engineering projects, prototype production, robotics, and technology-based research. Additionally, information was shared on how students could benefit from the National Technology Workshop's infrastructure for their future scientific and technological projects.
The visit to the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture aimed to help high school students gain awareness of engineering fields and experience the university environment firsthand. It was also noted that the program made a significant contribution to promoting the academic and technological research conducted at our faculty.
In the final part of the tour, students from Kırşehir Hacı Fatma Erdemir Anatolian High School visited the Central Library, where they received information from the library staff regarding its various areas of operation. During the visit, students toured the 24-hour study halls, computer labs, and individual study rooms. Officials also briefed them on the necessary procedures for utilizing the library's resources in the future.
