The Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş and his delegation visited Kırşehir Ahi Evran University for a series of meetings. During the visits on February 6, 2026, Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş and his delegation first met with Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil at his office. During the cordial meetings, an academic cooperation protocol was signed between our university and Çankırı Karatekin University. Rector Karahocagil was accompanied by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Musa Özata and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, and Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter.

During the visit, the delegation from Çankırı Karatekin University conducted inspections at various academic and administrative units of our university. In this context, the Çankırı Karatekin University delegation visited our university's Health, Culture, and Sports Directorate and the Construction Works Directorate to receive information about the ongoing work. The delegation's agenda also included the planned establishment of a Faculty of Medicine at Çankırı Karatekin University. In this context, the delegation toured our University's Faculty of Medicine and Morphology Building and inspected the laboratories. As part of the visit program, the delegation also visited the SAUTER unit and received information about the work from the authorities.

On the occasion of the visit, a protocol was signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and Çankırı Karatekin University to strengthen academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation. Implemented within the framework of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the protocol covers educational and training activities, joint research and projects, academic and administrative staff and student exchanges, scientific events such as seminars, conferences, and workshops, as well as social, cultural, and sporting activities. Under the protocol, the institutions aim to produce joint publications, share educational materials, provide the necessary academic and technical resources, and establish joint working groups when necessary, in line with the principles of reciprocity, equality, transparency, and sustainability. The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, and Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş, Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University.

The Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized that the collaboration will combine the academic and cultural potential of the two universities, creating new opportunities for students and academic staff. Stating that the goal is to increase the sharing of knowledge and experience and to strengthen scientific productivity through joint projects and exchange programs, Rector Karahocagil expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the Çankırı Karatekin University delegation and said he believed that the cooperation would provide long-term gains for both universities.

The delegation from Çankırı Karatekin University also participated in the February 6 Earthquake Memorial Program held at our university.
