An academic cooperation protocol covering joint research, projects, publications, and postgraduate studies was signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Karabük University, and Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University. Hosted by Karabük University, the signing ceremony was attended by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Karabük University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık, Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Aslan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Karabük University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz, Secretary General Dr. Lecturer Hüseyin İlter, and Karabük University Secretary General Lütfü Köm.

During the meeting held prior to the signing ceremony, areas of work related to the implementation of the protocol and the sharing of best practices in internationalization and education and training processes were evaluated. The signed protocol aims to increase the scientific production capacity of the three universities, share research infrastructure, and strengthen project-based partnerships.

In an assessment of the protocol, Karabük University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık stated that he believes the protocol will strengthen inter-university cooperation and that they have signed an important agreement on joint projects, studies, and publications within the scope of inter-institutional cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Adem Aslan, Rector of Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences, stated that they visited Karabük University to benefit from its experience in international student affairs and to develop mutual cooperation. He noted that their university has projects related to the pharmaceutical industry within its thematic structure and that they aim to develop joint projects through the center they have established.

Stating that they visited Karabük University with a large delegation, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil said that they aimed to share best practices in education and training processes and internationalization efforts. Emphasizing that they would conduct joint research and development studies with both Karabük University and Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences, Rector Karahocagil said, “I hope that together, we can contribute more to Turkish higher education than we could individually.” Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil thanked Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık, Rector of Karabük University, for his hospitality and Prof. Dr. Adem Aslan, Rector of Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University, for their cooperation, expressing his belief that they would accomplish great things together.

Additionally, a delegation consisting of representatives from academic and administrative units within our university conducted a technical visit to Karabük University as part of institutional development and cooperation efforts. During the visit, Karabük University's academic operations, administrative structure, and successful models were examined on-site, and mutual exchange of ideas took place between the two universities. This visit, which involved sharing experiences in many areas ranging from quality processes in education to operational efficiency, is of strategic importance for improving our university's service standards. As a result of the contacts made thanks to the hospitality of Karabük University, the aim is to further strengthen the bond between the institutions through joint projects.
