Keeping up with technological innovations, adding value to its province and region through R&D work, and drawing attention with its scientific studies and regional development-focused projects, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University continues to add new achievements to its list of successes. With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, the establishment of a Technology Development Zone (Technopark) within Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has been made official. With the declaration of our university as a Technopark, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has gained the status of a “Technology Development Zone” and has taken an important step towards regional development and innovation. With the Technopark decision, our university will once again serve as an important center for bringing together scientific potential, industry, and technology in the preparation of important projects and investments.
The newly established Technology Development Zone will serve as an important strategic center for entrepreneurs, academics, and technology companies in our city and surrounding areas. Thanks to the Technology Park, the theoretical knowledge generated at our university will be transformed into high-value-added technological products, contributing to the continued growth of collaborations in software, biotechnology, and industry, particularly in agriculture and geothermal-focused projects.
In an assessment regarding the declaration of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University's Technology Development Zone, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that within the upcoming process, the Technopark infrastructure works will be completed and around 30 companies will be established in university-industry cooperation. Rector Karahocagil also noted that with the Technopark becoming operational at our university, qualified investors will be attracted to the region and it will contribute to increasing local employment. He said that the Technopark is a very important development for our province and our university. Explaining that Technopark will take university-industry cooperation in our region to the highest level and reinforce our university's vision of being an innovative university, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, and Kırşehir Deputy Necmettin Erkan for their support in the process of declaring Kırşehir Ahi Evran University a Technology Development Zone.
