Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil visited the Faculty of Education to participate in a series of events. During the visits on January 8, 2026, Rector Karahocagil first gave a lecture explaining the impact of the Ahilik philosophy on quality processes. In addition to Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, the conference was attended by Vice Rector and Quality Management Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Yaman, assistant deans, directors, academic and administrative staff, and students.

At the conference, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil provided detailed information about Kırşehir Ahi Evran University's quality journey, explaining that they have successfully implemented this process since 2015. Stating that they always took the Ahi philosophy as an example in their quality efforts and carried out their work in line with this principle, Rector Karahocagil said that they had internalized their quality efforts with the principles of truthfulness, merit, honesty, and continuous self-improvement, which are at the core of the Ahi culture. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil also noted that they have adopted the values of Ahilik as a guide to improve the quality of education, saying, “The Ahilik organization is not only a professional organization but also an early-based quality movement.” Explaining that our university's outstanding quality efforts are based on Ahi values, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized that Ahi values have been institutionalized at our university by integrating them with modern quality management systems.

At the end of the conference, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Yaman presented a gift to Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil.

Following the conference, Rector Karahocagil opened the 20th Anniversary Pleasant Conversation Hall, which was specially designed for the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Education. In his brief speech at the opening, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil said that the Pleasant Conversation Hall was added to the Faculty of Education as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and that he believed it would make an important contribution to more productive communication and exchange of ideas between students and academics. Noting that such social spaces appeal to the spirit of the campus, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed his hope that the 20th Anniversary Pleasant Conversation Hall would be beneficial to our university and the Faculty of Education. Following the opening, Rector Karahocagil gathered with academics and students in the hall for a conversation.

Later, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil also opened the Chemistry Laboratory and delivered a speech there. Emphasizing that our university continues its academic investments without pause, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil noted that they value our students receiving practical training alongside theoretical knowledge, wishing the laboratory to be beneficial to our university and students. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil received information about the Chemistry Laboratory from the authorities and exchanged ideas with them. Rector Karahocagil then met with Chemistry Department students and had a cordial conversation with them, personally putting on their white coats, the symbol of their professional life.
