A farewell ceremony was organized by the Rectorate of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University for faculty members who have contributed to educational activities at the university for many years and are now retiring. Held on January 7, 2026 in the Senate Hall of our university, the ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter, deans, directors, and retiring academics.

At the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil gave a farewell speech, stating that the retiring academics had made significant contributions to the establishment of our university, including the founding of faculties, departments, and units. Noting that they are a university that is ambitious in terms of quality and that they carry both the name and values of Ahi Evran-ı Veli, Rector Karahocagil said, “In this sense, showing respect and reverence to our professional elders comes from our civilization.” Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that the doors of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University will always be open to them, adding that they will never lose contact with them and will always benefit from their vast knowledge and experience. Explaining that retired academics add value to our university and make important contributions to the academic development of students, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that their indelible traces will remain in the lecture halls and classrooms, and wished the retired academics a healthy and happy retirement.

Retired academics also took the floor, expressing their happiness at being part of the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University family and thanking Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil and his team for organizing the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, Rector Karahocagil presented gifts to the retired academics.
