Kırşehir Ahi Evran University successfully completed program accreditation efforts for its vocational schools in 2025. All seven programs applied for accreditation in January 2025 were accredited. This achievement further solidified the image of our university, which is renowned for its quality. This result was welcomed by our university staff as a natural consequence of the importance placed on vocational education.
Accreditation is a Strategic Corporate Priority
The accreditation decision is not limited to the evaluation of a program; it signifies the certification of a comprehensive quality assurance approach that encompasses the overall program design, learning outcomes, assessment and evaluation processes, human resource adequacy, and physical/technological infrastructure. Accredited programs are considered an important outcome that reinforces the quality assurance of the vocational schools within our university, which play a critical role in the development.

Rector Karahocagil: “Quality is not just a document for us; it is a right for our students as a requirement of the Ahilik teaching.”
The Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil commented on the subject, emphasizing that 2025 was a milestone year for our university in terms of accreditation. Stating that the accreditation efforts initiated in our university's vocational schools are a clear indication that quality assurance in education and training has been adopted as a permanent institutional principle rather than a temporary goal, Rector Karahocagil emphasized that 2025 will be a significant breakthrough year for Kırşehir Ahi Evran University in terms of accreditation. Noting that the number of accredited programs at our university is now 14, including the 7 programs that were previously accredited, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil continued his speech by saying that the evaluation process is ongoing for 4 programs currently undergoing accreditation: "With the inclusion of these programs in the process, quality assurance at our university will be cemented. By 2026, we aim to include approximately 20 of our programs in the accreditation process to strengthen our educational standards for the benefit of our students. We see quality not as a certificate, but as a right for our students, as required by the Ahi teaching. As Ahi Evran University, we will not remove quality from our agenda. Our goal is to accredit the vast majority of our programs within the next five years. One of the fundamental values that illuminates our path in this process is the Ahi philosophy, which gives our university its name. Ahi means doing one's job competently, respecting labor, and basing one's actions on honesty and justice. We see quality assurance as a reflection of this deep-rooted civilizational understanding in today's higher education. We approach quality in education not only in terms of technical competence but also in terms of moral and social responsibility. I would like to thank our Education Quality Assurance System coordinators who support the process, our vocational school directors who carry out accreditation work with dedication, our program chairs, and all academic and administrative staff who contribute to this effort.
Integration of Ahi Principles with Quality Assurance
The quality approach at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University goes beyond technical standards; it offers an integrated structure based on the principles of ethics, justice, and professional integrity derived from the Ahi tradition. This approach ensures that all our programs not only meet sectoral expectations but also align with social responsibility and a human-centered value system.
