An talk  titled “Career in the Private Sector” was organized by the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Career Planning Application and Research Center on December 17, 2025. The event, held at the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center, 15 July National Will Hall, was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Şener, Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center; Emrah Cihan, Petlas Human Resources and Industrial Relations Manager; as well as academic and administrative staff and a large number of students.

Delivering the opening remarks of the talk, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Şener stated that they aimed to introduce students to a wealth of content that would provide new perspectives on their professional careers. She noted that students would gain significant insights from the presentation of Emrah Cihan, who would share his life story and extensive experience in the field.

Taking the floor during the talk, Petlas Human Resources and Industrial Relations Manager Emrah Cihan stated that rising recruitment costs and the challenge of finding qualified personnel have pushed companies to implement "talent management" strategies to retain skilled employees and attract new talent—a trend clearly reflected in recent research. Furthermore, he noted that candidates no longer make decisions based solely on salary and raise percentages. He emphasized that in this new era, talents prioritize having their own personal space, feeling valued by the company, and the quality of the fringe benefits offered.

While providing significant opportunities for our students to open the doors of the business world and shape their careers correctly, the talk also served as a valuable guidance service, illuminating their future paths. The program concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the participants and a commemorative group photo.
