The "Silent Scream East Turkistan" conference was organized by the Social Contribution Coordinator's Office, as part of the Social Transcript Application. The conference took place on December 15, 2025, at the July 15 National Will Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center. Attendees included Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, President of the East Turkistan National Assembly Seyit Tümtürk, Social Contribution Coordinator Lecturer Bayram Koyuncu, Kırşehir AK Party Provincial Head Seher Ünsal, Kırşehir MHP Provincial Head Arif Kılıç, representatives from our city’s public institutions, academic and administrative staff, and students.

The conference commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by our Sudanese student, Hafız Muhammed Emir. Following the recitation, the opening speeches began. First, the Social Contribution Coordinator, Lecturer Bayram Koyuncu, delivered a speech, addressing the purpose of the conference. Emphasizing that students’ academic success is valuable to them, Koyuncu also stated that social, cultural, and sports activities contribute to students’ personal development, and that they continue their efforts in this direction. Lecturer Koyuncu further remarked, "We are important representatives of an ancient civilization." He added that, in this sense, they cannot remain indifferent to an oppressed community and are striving to fulfill the responsibility imposed upon them by their civilization.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata subsequently delivered a speech. Özata stated that they had convened to address the persecution and genocide taking place in East Turkistan, noting that East Turkistan is not merely a territory but a geography where Turkish identity, Islamic morality, and science were nurtured. Asserting that "Standing against oppression, wherever it occurs, is a fundamentally human duty," Özata expressed that the oppressed have no specific geography, language, religion, or race. Prof. Dr. Musa Özata concluded by stating, "Silence in the face of oppression is not neutrality; it is siding with the oppressor," and thanked everyone involved in preparing the conference, wishing for a productive event.

Following the opening remarks, the conference session began. In his speech, Seyit Tümtürk, President of the East Turkistan National Assembly, detailed the oppression and genocide carried out by China in East Turkistan. Tümtürk stated that greeting and receiving greetings according to Islamic customs is forbidden in East Turkistan, emphasizing that the people living there cannot do anything to publicize the oppression. Seyit Tümtürk also touched upon the importance of East Turkistan for Turkey, saying, "East Turkistan will surely be liberated from this persecution one day." Furthermore, stating that the people of East Turkistan are subjected to assimilation by China, Tümtürk explained that East Turkistanian girls are forcibly married to Chinese men. Seyit Tümtürk concluded by stating that they organize such programs to raise awareness for East Turkistan, and then presented the atrocities taking place in the region through a video demonstration.

The conference concluded after Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata presented a certificate of appreciation to Seyit Tümtürk, President of the East Turkistan National Assembly, followed by a group photo.
