Kırşehir Ahi Evran University held its “Stakeholder Group Sessions” on November 11, 2025, marking a critical stage in the preparation of the 2027–2031 Strategic Plan. Drawing broad participation from students, alumni, academic staff, administrators, management, and representatives from public institutions, local governments, and law enforcement, the sessions focused on bringing forward concrete suggestions. These proposals addressed critical university areas such as teaching, R&D, community service, and internal administration. The project was jointly managed by the Strategy Development Department and the Quality Management Coordinator’s Office.

Stakeholder Sessions and Participation Profile

The stakeholder group sessions were held simultaneously in various halls with the aim of directly capturing the views and expectations of different groups. This guaranteed broad representation—from students and alumni to academic staff, management, and public/local stakeholders—thereby establishing a multi-dimensional perspective for the university's 2027–2031 Strategic Plan. Each session was chaired by an expert academic or administrative manager, fostering a discussion-oriented environment where participants could express their views freely. The needs, strengths, challenges, and proposals raised served as the primary data source for setting strategic priorities and strengthening quality assurance processes. In this way, stakeholder input was positioned at the heart of the university's future planning.

Vice Rector and Quality Management Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek chaired the “Management Stakeholder Group Session,” held in the Rectorate Meeting Hall. The meeting, attended by deans, directors, and administrators, comprehensively evaluated processes related to education, research and development (R&D), societal contribution, and administrative operations. Participants presented concrete proposals concerning the university’s strategic priorities for the forthcoming five-year period.

The "Academic Staff Session," held in the Meeting Hall on the 2nd Floor of the Faculty of Education, was chaired by Prof. Dr. Refik Balay. Academics presented proposals focusing on improving teaching processes, developing R&D capacity, increasing societal contribution, and institutionalizing the culture of quality.

Meanwhile, the Students and Alumni Session, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hilal Mert, addressed concerns regarding education quality, counseling, career services, and social opportunities. Participants focused on strengthening alumni communication and creating new service offerings.

The final meeting gathered representatives from Public Institutions, Local Governments, and Law Enforcement. Chaired by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Güngör, this session in the Senate Hall focused on crucial themes: regional development, contribution to public services, potential joint projects, and priority areas for cooperation between the university and public entities.
