Merve Dinçel Kavurat, a student of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University’s Faculty of Sport Sciences, has become a World Champion for the second time. Representing Turkey as a national taekwondo athlete, Kavurat won the gold medal at the World Taekwondo Championships held in China.
Representing both Turkey and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University in China, national taekwondo athlete Merve Dinçel Kavurat achieved remarkable success in the women’s 53 kg category at the World Championships. In the final match, she defeated her opponent from Saudi Arabia 2–0, securing the World Champion title and bringing pride to both her country and university. With this victory, Merve Dinçel Kavurat has become World Champion for the second consecutive time.
Following the competition, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil called Merve Dinçel Kavurat to personally congratulate her on her outstanding achievement. Emphasizing that winning the World Championship title for the second consecutive time brought great national pride to both Turkey and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Rector Karahocagil wished Kavurat continued success in her future endeavors.
