The sixteenth session of the Akhism Talks, organized monthly by the Ahilik Culture Research and Application Center, was held on October 23, 2025, at the Fütüvvet Hall of the Central Library. This month’s guest was Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, Rector of Yıldız Technical University. The event was also attended by Bayram Ali Ersoy, President of the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Before the event, protocol members visited the Central Library to conduct an on-site inspection. After touring the study rooms, event areas, archives, and book sections, they highlighted the functionality of the Central Library and stated that it has the capacity to meet the library needs of both the university and the city.


After the Central Library visit, the Akhism Talks continued at the Fütüvvet Hall. At the event, Rector of Yıldız Technical University Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik spoke about the core values of Akhism and its contributions to science and ethics. The session also included interactive discussions with participants.

The program proceeded with a music recital by Prof. Dr. Kubilay Kolukırık, Dean of the Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts, accompanied by his team. In this part of the event, former rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya played the saz, and Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil performed Palestinian poems and songs.


Important anecdotes reflecting the values of Akhism were shared during the event. Among the attendees were Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Yıldız Technical University Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Göksel Ağargün, our university’s Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, and Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter, AK Party Provincial Chair Seher Ünsal, AK Party Central District Chair Ali Demir, as well as academic and administrative staff and students.
