One of the most significant projects of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, the Sports Health Research, Application and Thermal Rehabilitation Center (SAUTER), is beginning to make its mark on the international stage. A delegation of physicians from various regions of Kazakhstan — including Almaty, Jambıl, Astana, Aktau, and Öskemen — visited the university on October 20, 2025. The delegation, headed by Dr. Ahmadyar Siranov, first met with Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil. During the meeting held at the rectorate, the significance of geothermal resources in health tourism was highlighted.

Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that SAUTER is a highly significant project for both the city and the country, emphasizing its growing contribution to regional health tourism and its strong presence on international platforms. Providing information about the center’s activities, Rector Karahocagil highlighted the importance of geothermal energy in the field of health and added that the project has transformed the region into an attractive destination. He also underlined that they are open to all kinds of national and international cooperation within the scope of the SAUTER project. Expressing his pleasure with the visit, Prof. Dr. Karahocagil thanked the entire delegation led by Dr. Ahmadyar Siranov.
Following the meeting with the Rector, the delegation received information about the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and the FTR Hospital from Dr. Abdülhamit Tayfur and Dr. Muhammed İhsan Kodak. They also toured the Sports Health Research, Application and Thermal Rehabilitation (SAUTER) Center, where they had the opportunity to examine its units on site. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on thermal water therapy and rehabilitation practices and expressed their interest in developing a new joint project with the university in this field.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Kabadayı, a faculty member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, accompanied the delegation from Kazakhstan and served as an interpreter.
