Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Faculty of Sport Sciences has added a new achievement to its growing list of accomplishments. On October 16, 2025, the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF) organized a special promotion and award ceremony in Ankara to honor successful athletes and contributors to university sports. During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Sevde Mavi Var, a faculty member at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, received an award in recognition of her achievements as the coach of the national taekwondo team at the World University Games held in Germany in July. The ceremony took place at the İtri Hall of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University with the participation of Prof. Dr. Veli Ozan Çakır, Director General of Sports Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Batıkan Aksoy, Secretary General of the Council of Higher Education, numerous university rectors, federation presidents, athletes, and coaches. Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil congratulated Prof. Dr. Sevde Mavi Var on receiving this prestigious award and wished her continued success in her future endeavors.
