Always giving importance to sports, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University proudly celebrates the success of its students. Yonca Gül Yılmaz, a first-year student of the Coaching Department at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, has won the European Championship in the 70 kg category.

At the European Youth Boxing Championship held in Ostrava, Czechia, our student Yonca Gül Yılmaz, representing both our country and our university, became the European Champion in the 70 kg category. In the same championship, our second-year Coaching Department student Sude Nur Aslan advanced to the quarterfinals in the 75 kg category.

Büşranur Özmez won the gold medal at the U20 Balkan Wrestling Championship

In addition to the European Youth Championship, our student Büşranur Özmez delivered an outstanding performance at the U20 Balkan Wrestling Championship held in Cluj Napoca, Romania. The third-year Coaching Department student won the gold medal in the women’s 55 kg category. At the U20 Balkan Wrestling Championship, the national freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women’s teams became Balkan Champions in all three categories with their remarkable performances.

Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed his sincere happiness with the students’ accomplishments, stating that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University always supports its students and wished them continued success in their academic and professional lives.
