Kırşehir Ahi Evran University’s Department of Health, Culture, and Sports organized a Student Clubs Information Meeting. Held on October 8, 2025, at the Neşet Ertaş Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center, the meeting was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Kırşehir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Yasin Çakmakçı, academic and administrative staff, and students.

In his opening speech, Head of the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports Erkan Kuloğlu highlighted the purpose of the meeting. Kuloğlu announced that a new Student Club Directive had been prepared for the 2025-2026 academic year and emphasized that the Social Transcript Program would be given greater importance starting this year. Kuloğlu also indicated that future events will be organized in collaboration with the Social Contribution Coordinationship, and wished the meeting to bring positive outcomes for the university and its students.

After Erkan Kuloğlu’s speech, Kırşehir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Yasin Çakmakçı addressed the audience. He provided detailed information about youth centers, sports facilities, dormitories, and other service buildings affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He also provided insights into the University Student Clubs Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES), which was launched last year. Çakmakçı noted that 34 projects from university student clubs were approved last year, including 18 at the local level and 16 at the national level. He assured continued support for student clubs and thanked all contributors to the program.

Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil then delivered a speech, highlighting the wish to start the new academic year in unity with students. He explained that the university features both a written and an unwritten curriculum. He explained, “In addition to the formal curriculum known by everyone, there is also an invisible curriculum at our university. This includes our way of working, interactions with academcs, dialogues with students, and the university’s overall tendencies. The written curriculum sets our qualifications, but the invisible curriculum influences our personal and human growth.” He noted ongoing efforts to ensure both curricula operate effectively and pointed out the crucial role of the Social Transcript Application.

Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized the importance of integrating Akhism skills into the curriculum at a university named after Ahi Evran-ı Veli. “We have added Akhism skills to our university’s competency and skills-based curriculum,” he stated. Noting that Akhism skills would enrich the students’ human qualities, Rector Karahocagil also stressed that student clubs should uphold these values. He highlighted that the Akhism tradition is a movement of goodness, carried out without expecting anything in return. "Akhism culture is a part of our civilization and has brought justice to the world. It is our duty, and that of you -the youth who are the future- to protect these values,” he said. He added that embracing such values will allow universities to raise not only skilled professionals but also good people, and affirmed the university’s strong support for the Social Transcript Program.

Following Rector Karahocagil’s speech, Hakan Kılıç from the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports gave a presentation on the “New Student Clubs System and Social Transcript System.” Ekrem Öztürk, Assistant Coordinator of Quality Management, presented the “Integrated Quality Management System” for community advisors to record their annual activities. Emine Ayan, a representative from the Youth Office, provided an “ÜNİDES Introduction” presentation for ÜNİDES applications.
