The Coordinatorship of Social Contributions organized a conference titled “Activate Your Inner Self - Start Again to Begin Again.” The conference was held on September 24, 2025, at the Neşet Ertaş Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center. Participants included Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Member of the National Education Ministry's Curriculum and Education Board Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Musa Özata and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, academic and administrative staff, and students.

The opening speech of the conference was delivered by Bayram Koyuncu, Coordinator of The Coordinatorship of Social Contributions, who highlighted the purpose of the event. Koyuncu noted that, through the university’s Social Transcript Program, they aim to support students’ social, cultural, and sports activities. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the organization of the event.

Following the opening speech, Member of the Ministry of National Education's Board of Education Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk delivered a speech explaining what students need to do to progress toward their goals. Addressing the students as “Young People, the Flowers of Our Hearts,” Öztürk emphasized the significance of the Social Transcript Application, highlighting its effective role in young people's self-improvement. Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk stated; “To activate your inner self, you must first be motivated,” noting that motivation is significant for personal development. Following the opening speech, Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk, a member of the Ministry of National Education’s Curriculum and Education Board, addressed the students, offering guidance on how they can advance toward their goals. Referring to the students as “the blossoms of our heartfelt bond,” Öztürk emphasized the significance of the Social Transcript Program, noting its active role in supporting young people’s personal development. “To activate your inner self, you must first be motivated,” he said, underlining the crucial importance of motivation in self-improvement. Öztürk also highlighted that human beings are endowed with reason and willpower, and continued: “How well do you know your inner self? This is important. Those who can govern themselves can also govern the world. First, get to know the person inside you, and then everything else will follow.” In his speech, Öztürk also addressed the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, stating, “The lowest threshold of humanity begins in Gaza.”

Afterwards, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil gave a speech, expressing his pleasure at hosting Member of the National Education Ministry's Education Board Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk at our university and thanking him for the motivational conference held for students. At the end of the conference, Rector Karahocagil presented Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk a certificate and a gift.

Following the conference, Member of the National Education Ministry's Education Board Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk and his accompanying guests paid an official visit to Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil.
