A panel on “From Tradition to the Future, from Local to Universal: The Abdal Tradition and Neşet Ertaş” was jointly organized by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Abdal Tradition and Neşet Ertaş Research and Application Center and the Governorship of Kırşehir. As part of the Neşet Ertaş Culture and Music Festival, the panel took place on August 8, 2025, at the Neşet Ertaş Culture and Arts Center. The event was attended by Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, the late Neşet Ertaş’s son Hüseyin Ertaş, and local citizens.

The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr. Selahaddin Bekki, Director of KAEU Abdal Tradition and Neşet Ertaş Research and Application Center. The speakers included Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çeribaş from Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Metin Turan, President of the Cyprus, Balkans, and Eurasian Turkish Literatures Institution, and İmdat Avşar, Editor-in-Chief of the Turkish Literature Journal.
