KAEU has added another success to its growing list of achievements in the field of sports. At the Turkiye Intervarsity Wushu Kung-Fu Championship, held under the Ministry of Youth and Sports from May 27 to 29, 2025, at the Sakarya Serdivan Indoor Sports Hall, Hatice Ünal, a 2nd-year student in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at KAEU Faculty of Agriculture, achieved remarkable success. In the championship, KAEU student won first place in the Women’s Yang Style Taichi Jiyan category and second place in the Yang Style Taichi Quan category, earning national-level recognition for both herself and our university.

Following the conclusion of the championship, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil hosted KAEU student Hatice Ünal at the rectorate office. During the visit, also attended by Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Hatice Ünal stated that she earned her titles by surpassing very tough competitors in the championship and emphasized that the opportunities provided by KAEU in the field of sports played a significant role in her success. Thanking Hatice Ünal for her kind words, Rector Karahocagil congratulated her and highlighted the importance of excelling not only in academic and scientific fields but also in sports at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. He wished her continued success in both her academic and athletic journey.
