Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which makes significant contributions to its region and province through its projects, was featured on BRTV. In the program broadcast on May 30, 2025, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil and Vice Rector and Quality Management Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek introduced the university’s projects, scientific studies, and quality processes.

First, Vice Rector and Quality Management Coordinator of KAEU Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek provided detailed information about the university’s quality initiatives, which serve as a role model for Turkish Higher Education in the program. He emphasized that KAEU was the first among universities founded in 2006 to receive a Quality Management Certificate, and also pointed out that KAEU is the only university to receive full 5-year accreditation from THEQC.

Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, also a guest on the program, gave an in-depth explanation of the university’s first locally developed software, the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS). He noted that IQMS has been sold to nearly 20 universities and underlined that KAEU’s quality initiatives have become a model for Turkish Higher Education. Highlighting that the university’s success in quality processes was the result of over 10 years of experience and effort, Rector Karahocagil stated, “This successful work, carried out in line with the Ahi-Order, is the product of teamwork.” During the program, Prof. Dr. Karahocagil also discussed the university’s R&D greenhouse activities, carried out as part of its Mission Differentiation and Specialization Projects Focused on Regional Development. He announced that the Hydrogen Heating System Solar-Powered Greenhouse (GES Hydro-Greenhouse) Pilot Project, a first in Türkiye, was implemented at KAEU. As part of this initiative, a 79 kWe capacity Solar Power Plant (GES) and a new-generation hydrogen plasma heating system used for heating the greenhouses were installed in the university’s R&D greenhouse.

Following the interview with Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, the program continued at KAEU R&D greenhouse, where Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar and Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Başak, a faculty member at KAEU Faculty of Agriculture, provided detailed information about the ongoing work in the greenhouse and the harvested products.
