A project prepared by Rahim Allahverdi, an Azerbaijani student studying at KAEU, has been awarded financial support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students, administered by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TÜBİTAK). Rahim Allahverdi, a senior student at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, developed his project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oktay Kızılkaya. The research titled “The Development of Turkiye-Azerbaijan Foreign Trade Relations and the Economic Impacts of the TANAP Project” stands out as the first TÜBİTAK-supported project focused on the economies of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The project is considered a valuable contribution to strengthening economic cooperation between the two brother countries and to understanding the regional impacts of strategic energy projects. KAEU student Rahim Allahverdi also joined a live broadcast of ARB TV, one of the most-watched channels in Azerbaijan, where he provided information about his project.
Commenting on the matter, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed his happiness at the success of student projects receiving awards and congratulated Rahim Allahverdi for his achievements. Highlighting that international students serve as cultural ambassadors, Rector Karahocagil emphasized that students' academic engagement helps build bridges between countries and contributes to strengthening international cooperation.
