Under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the 2025 Turkish Interuniversity Wushu Kung-fu Championship was held at the Sakarya Serdivan Indoor Sports Hall between May 24–27, 2025. Nearly 170 athletes, including national athletes and those who had previously placed in various competitions, participated in the event. Osman Gültekin, a student from the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, achieved great success by winning first place in the 56 kg sanda category at the 2025 Turkish Interuniversity Wushu Kung-fu Championship. In the same tournament, KAEU student Abdullah Efe Yalçın placed third in the 70 kg sanda category.

Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that the achievements of the students in the field of sports are a source of pride for the university. He emphasized that the national and international successes of the Faculty of Sport Sciences are the result of the university’s strong sports infrastructure and the dedicated efforts of its academic staff. He congratulated the students who excelled in the tournament and wished them continued success.
