Established by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Science Communication Office held its first event under the theme “Science is Everywhere.” On May 15, 2025, students at Zahide Zehra Garring Primary School spent an exciting day engaged in science through fun electrical experiments and hands-on robotic coding workshops. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Musab Yılmaz, the Science Communication Office Coordinator and the Faculty Member of the New Media and Communication Department, Dr. Fatma Keskinkılınç, Project Coordinator, and students from the Computer Programming Department.
During the workshops organized for 4th-grade students of Zahide Zehra Garring Primary School, participants were introduced to basic electric circuits through hands-on activities. Students were provided with various materials and encouraged to build their own circuits using playdough, turning learning into a creative and engaging experience. They also transformed colorful circuit cards into meaningful gifts by decorating them for their families.
In the second part of the event, the children attended robotic coding activities by using LEGO kits. The kids who designed and coded their own robots experienced the fun side of science.
The event concluded with a group photo of the students and organizers.
