On May 7, 2025, a conference titled “Corporatization with KOSGEB” was held at the Neşet Ertaş Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Organized in cooperation with the KAEU Technology Transfer Office (TTO), Directorate of Research and Development (R&D), and the Kırşehir Provincial Directorate of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), the event brought together the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Prof. Dr. Levent Urtekin, Kırşehir KOSGEB Provincial Director Abdulmelik Taşkın, academic and administrative staff, and numerous students.
Lecturer and TTO Expert Veysel Akatay made the opening speech of the conference, expressing his pleasure in hosting such an important event that would open the doors of the innovative world to the participants and help shape their understanding of entrepreneurship through the sharing of knowledge and experience. He emphasized that entrepreneurship is not merely about starting a business but also a process of creating value and offering solutions to social problems through innovative ideas. Akatay also highlighted that institutions like KOSGEB serve as guiding resources for aspiring entrepreneurs with the support they provide. He concluded his remarks by saying, “As future entrepreneurs, I truly believe that the knowledge you gain here today will help shape your career journey, and I sincerely thank all participants.”
In the continuation of the conference, Kırşehir KOSGEB Provincial Director Abdulmelik Taşkın took the floor and stated that KOSGEB is a public institution established to increase the role and effectiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Turkiye's economy and to achieve industrial integration in line with economic developments. He noted that KOSGEB, which operates under the Ministry of Industry and Technology, also supports the growth and development of SMEs, which form the backbone of the Turkish economy. Emphasizing the importance of KOSGEB's support for university graduates to establish their businesses and become self-reliant, Taşkın stated that campus projects supported by KOSGEB play a significant role in the field of youth entrepreneurship. He added that ideal campus projects can also originate from Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and that they are ready to provide all kinds of support to students in this regard.
