The 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye—one of the cornerstones of our democracy, full independence, and national sovereignty—was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country and in our city, Kırşehir. The celebrations were attended by Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, Kırşehir Chief Public Prosecutor Oğuz Şükrü Erener, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Deputy Governors Alper Balcı and Yasin Özcan, Provincial Police Chief Erdoğan Kartal, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ahmet Yıldırım, representatives of political parties, heads of public institutions, students, and numerous citizens.

The celebrations began with a parade with elementary school students, starting in front of the Kırşehir Governorship and ending at Kentpark. During the ceremony held at Kentpark with the participation of local officials and citizens, students recited poems, schools performed folk dance shows, and the event continued with various activities organized for students. In his message celebrating April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil extended his greetings to all children of our country and around the world. He emphasized that April 23rd is not only the date when the foundations of the Republic of Türkiye were laid but also the world's first and only day dedicated to children. Rector Karahocagil stated, “On this meaningful day, the principle of ‘Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation’ was embraced by our entire nation, and as Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, we celebrate the day of all children.
