The “Stay a Child” Painting Exhibition, organized by the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at the Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts of KAEU, was opened to art lovers on April 21, 2025, at the foyer area of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center. The opening of the exhibition, which drew a large crowd, was attended by Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rector and Dean of the Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, along with academic and administrative staff and students. The exhibition, held during the week of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, will be open to visitors for three days.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that the university places great importance on cultural events and expressed his pleasure that the exhibition coincided with the week of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. Emphasizing the contribution of art to the university’s culture, Rector Karahocagil said, “We hope that meaningful events like this will increase and become a tradition at our university.”

Following the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil and his accompanying delegation toured the exhibition. During the event, students from the Department of Music at the Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts enriched the exhibition with live music performances.

At the end of the event, Vice Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek presented certificates of appreciation to the participants for their contributions. The “Stay a Child” exhibition will be open to visitors for three days at the Ahi Evran University Congress and Culture Center Foyer Area.
