The celebration of Nevruz, symbolizing the revival of nature with the arrival of spring and a new beginning after the end of winter in the Turkic World, has been celebrated with colorful traditions passed down through generations for thousands of years. Hence, the Nevruz Festival, organized by the Kırşehir Governorship, was celebrated with great enthusiasm on March 21, 2025, at Kırşehir Cacabey Square. The celebration event was attended by Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, Kırşehir Deputy Necmettin Erkan, Deputy Mayor Hakan Kaya, Chief Public Prosecutor Oğuz Şükrü Ener, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Deputy Governor Alper Balcı, Provincial Security Chief Erdoğan Kartal, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Col. Ahmet Yıldırım, along with representatives of political parties, non-governmental organizations, students, and a large number of citizens.

It is believed that the more Nevruz is celebrated with solidarity, cooperation, and enthusiasm, the more prosperous and abundant the year will be. To keep the spirit of Nevruz alive, a Nevruz fire was lit, iron was forged, folk dance performances were held, and students participated in tug-of-war and egg-carrying competitions. Additionally, members of the Traditional Archery Association presented an archery show at Cacabey Square. On the occasion of Nevruz, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized that Nevruz holds great significance for the Turkish nation, highlighting that this ancient tradition symbolizes leaving Ergenekon. Rector Karahocagil stated: "At the same time, it heralds the revival of nature, the arrival of spring, and the beginning of abundance. I believe that Nevruz, celebrated in solidarity, will bring unity, togetherness, and peace throughout the year."
