As part of the accreditation program for the KAEU Department of Turkish Language and Literature, site visits were carried out by The Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of University Programs in Mathematical, Natural, and Social Sciences (FEDEK). The site visits, held between February 15-18, 2025, were attended by the FEDEK team, including Team Leader Prof. Dr. Talat Özpozan and members Prof. Dr. Hacer Tokyürek and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge Kara Göllü.



Following a comprehensive evaluation process, the FEDEK accreditation period for the KAEU Department of Turkish Language and Literature concluded with an assessment meeting. The meeting, held on February 18, 2025, in the Senate Hall, was attended by Vice-Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, FEDEK members, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Dr. Nadir İlhan, Vice-Deans Prof. Dr. Faruk Selçuk, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Kemal Şaş, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Prof. Dr. Salahaddin Bekki, and department faculty members.



During the meeting, the Department of Turkish Language and Literature's compliance with the standards set by FEDEK accreditation was evaluated, focusing on the academic program's strengths and areas for improvement. The evaluation process included a review of the student-centered education approach, program outcomes, course plans, and assessment and evaluation systems. The necessary improvements, as outlined by FEDEK members, were discussed in alignment with the specified standards. After the meeting, the final report, confirming that there were no deficiencies or weaknesses identified in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, was presented to the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nadir İlhan.



The meeting concluded after the Vice Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, expressed his gratitude to the FEDEK team for their evaluation of the accreditation process.
