The Council of Higher Education (CoHE) established the "Science Communication Office" to share the scientific knowledge produced in the universities more effectively with the society. The Council of Higher Education organized the Science Communication Office Universities Meeting to introduce the office and promote such organizations in universities. Vice Rector of  Kırşehir Ahi Evran University (KAEÜ) Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, Lect. Vahit Özdemir, Lect. Hamdi Şahin and Lect. Alpaslan Öngel attended the meeting. 

A Simultaneous "Science Cafe" Event is Planned for April 

In the meeting that took place with the participation of Higher Education Council President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, the works and the cooperation processes with the universities were discussed.  The details regarding the "Science Cafe" event which is planned to be held simultaneously at all the universities in April were shared. The meeting mainly focused on the strategies for sharing scientific knowledge with society more effectively. Higher Education Council President Prof. Dr. Erol  Özvar stated that they took a huge step toward strengthening the meeting of science and society, and he expressed their belief that scientific knowledge should go beyond classes, laboratories, academic journals, or conferences. 

In the meeting, it was emphasized that science is the cornerstone of human progress and that it must be accessible and understandable through interaction with society to reach its true value. Throughout the day-long presentations, the critical mission of the Science Communication Office, its global practices, and the "Bilim Vatan" project were discussed.
