To strengthen international relations and enhance bilateral collaborations, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, visited Azerbaijan, where he met with Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU), Baku State University (BSU), and Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU). During the visit on February 17, 2025, discussions focused on the universities' academic and scientific studies as well as their projects, leading to an agreement on bilateral cooperation.
As part of its internationalization efforts, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University first signed an educational cooperation protocol with UNEC. The signing ceremony was attended by Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Rector of UNEC Adalat Muradov, Vice-Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, Coordinator of the International Relations Office Lecturer Yusuf İslam Sürücü, and the UNEC delegation.
The signed protocol includes student and faculty exchange between both universities, joint conferences, collaboration in scientific research, and joint activities that will contribute to the academic development of both institutions.
Rector of UNEC Adalat Muradov provided information about UNEC's educational opportunities, digital management systems, international relations, dual degree and exchange programs, global rankings, as well as the status of its students and academic staff.
Congratulating Rector Muradov for UNEC's achievements in the field of education, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, expressed his satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation between the two institutions. He emphasized that the signed protocol would contribute to the internationalization efforts of both universities and wished for the agreement to be beneficial.
Baku State University (BSU)
Later, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, and his delegation visited Baku State University (BSU), Azerbaijan's oldest and largest university. During the visit, discussions were held regarding the academic and scientific activities of both institutions, and a cooperation protocol in the field of education was signed.
Rector of BSU Elçin Babayev provided information about the university's history, academic and scientific projects, educational activities, and physical infrastructure. He also expressed his satisfaction with establishing collaboration with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University.
The cooperation protocol signed with BSU aims to facilitate joint research projects, student, academic, and administrative staff exchanges, the development of joint academic programs, and increased academic mobility between the two universities. Through this partnership, both universities will collaborate on conferences, seminars, and other scientific activities, promoting knowledge and experience sharing.
Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU)
Following their visit to BSU, the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University administration visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU). During the visit, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, and his delegation met with AZTU Rector Vilayet Valiyev and his team to discuss educational activities and ongoing projects at both institutions. At the end of the fruitful and sincere discussions, a cooperation protocol was signed to strengthen collaboration in the field of education.
Under the protocol signed with AZTU, both universities agreed to collaborate on enhancing education quality and conducting joint studies and research across various fields.
Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU)
Continuing their visit to Azerbaijan on February 18, 2025, Rector Karahocagil and his team visited Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) to discuss cooperation in agriculture and animal husbandry. During the visit, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, and his delegation met with Rector of ADAU Zafar Gurbanov and his team. Both sides evaluated potential agricultural and agronomic projects, culminating in signing a bilateral cooperation protocol.
Rector of ADAU Zafar Gurbanov provided insights into ADAU's educational activities, national and international projects, and academic and scientific work. He expressed his satisfaction with collaborating with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University.
Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, emphasized the importance of such consultations for the academic development of the Turkic world.
