A protocol on internships and education was signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and the Kırşehir Provincial Mufti’s Office. The signing ceremony took place on January 7, 2025, at the Rectorate Office. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Kırşehir Provincial Mufti Mustafa Tekin, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, General Secretary Dr. Hüseyin İlter, and Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Emrullah Fatiş attended the ceremony.

The protocol covers students of the KAEU Faculty of Theology and aims to foster collaboration between the two institutions in educational and teaching activities. Additionally, the protocol covers various areas under the Educational Services of the Kırşehir Provincial Mufti’s Office, including Quran Courses for the 4-6 age group, Need-Based Quran Courses, and Quran Memorization Courses. In the field of Religious Services, the protocol includes Mosque Services, Preaching and Guidance Services, the Alo Fatwa (190) helpline, and shifts and activities of the Family and Religious Guidance Bureau. Furthermore, the protocol covers educational and internship activities related to spiritual counseling services conducted in coordination with Youth, Disability, Addiction, and Migration Coordinatorships, as well as in institutions outside the Mufti’s Office such as GSB Student Dormitories, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Foster Homes, Children’s Support Centers (ÇODEM), Child Protection Houses, and Prisons.

Providing an evaluation of the protocol, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that the signed protocol would enable the students of the KAEU Theology Faculty to gain experience and develop their skills. He also expressed his hope that the protocol would benefit both institutions.
