The Management Review Meeting (MRM), organized by the KAEU Quality Management Coordination, was held on December 20, 2024, in Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Hall at the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center. The meeting was attended by Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, Secretary-General Dr. Hüseyin İlter, the Quality Management Coordination team, and quality representatives from academic and administrative units.
Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil made the opening speech of the Management Review Meeting (MRM), in which they would plan the upcoming activities for the following months. Highlighting the positive outcomes of previous quality initiatives, Prof. Dr. Karahocagil stated that such review meetings significantly contribute to the university’s quality processes. He mentioned that each unit’s MRM reports would be reviewed and evaluated during the meeting and underlined the valuable contributions of the Quality Management Coordination team to the university. Additionally, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil explained that new practices and effective methods to enhance quality processes were being explored, with ongoing discussions and meetings held by the senior management. Prof. Dr. Karahocagil pointed out that they had various meetings to transfer the university’s nearly ten years of quality management experience. He stressed the importance of planning and monitoring the new term and outlined activities aimed at continuous improvement. Prof. Dr. Karahocagil who highlighted that KAEU aims for continuous quality improvement also shared updates on the strategic plan to be prepared for the upcoming period, describing it as a novel practice for the university in the context of quality efforts. Concluding his speech, Rector Karahocagil wished for a productive MRM session and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to being an institution focused on continuous improvement in quality initiatives.
Following the speech by Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rector and Quality Management Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek took the floor to provide insights into the university’s quality journey, which began in 2015. Touching on the stages the university has undergone in its quality processes, Şimşek highlighted the importance of the MRM in preparing for the external audit the university will undergo. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek stated that during the MRM, the university’s activities throughout 2024 would be evaluated and explained the contributions the MRM Report would make to the university’s external evaluation.
