Academic staff and students from KAEU Faculty of Agriculture participated in the III. R&D Project Market Days organized by the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Research Directorate.  Academic staff and students from KAEU Faculty of Agriculture participated in the event with 14 projects on December 12-13, 2024, at the Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Congress and Cultural Center. 

Of the 14 projects successfully passing the preliminary evaluation, two from KAEU Faculty of Agriculture were awarded at the III. R&D Project Market Days. The second prize went to the project titled "Determination of the Efficacy of a Phytopathogenic Fungicide Product Against Botrytis cinerea Fungus on Strawberry Plants", prepared by Emre Özbey, a 2nd-year student from the Department of Horticulture, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Yaşar Ertürk. The project titled "Determination of Bioavailability and Biomass Potential of Amaranthus Straw as an Alternative to Common Roughage", prepared by Muttalip Kılıçel, a 3rd-year student from the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, under the supervision of Dr. Ayşe Gül Filik was awarded the third prize. This project was developed in line with our university's goal of regional development-focused differentiation.

Both awarded projects were developed in collaboration with FILIK NANOBIOAGROTECH R&D and TECHNOLOGY INC. and were submitted under the 2209-B Industry Oriented Research Project Support Programme for University Students for funding support.

As part of the event, the KAEU Faculty of Agriculture team was hosted by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. They toured the university's agricultural facilities, exchanged ideas, and explored opportunities for mutual collaboration.
