KAEU Directorate of Research and Development (R&D) organized a seminar titled “NOROM: National Neuroscience Infrastructure” on December 10, 2024, at the Fuat Sezgin Hall of Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center. The seminar was attended by Vice Rector and R&D Director of KAEU Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Deputy Director of Gazi University Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Center of Excellence (NOROM) Prof. Dr. Meltem Bahçelioğlu, as well as academic and administrative staff.

During the seminar, Prof. Dr. Meltem Bahçelioğlu delivered a presentation titled “NOROM: National Neuroscience Infrastructure”, in which she provided an overview of the national neuroscience infrastructure. She explained that neuroscience, also known as neurobiology, is an interdisciplinary field that studies the nervous system. "This discipline aims to understand the fundamental properties of neurons and neural circuits by combining physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, developmental biology, cytology, mathematical modeling, and psychology," Bahçelioğlu stated, further detailing the opportunities and resources provided by NOROM: National Neuroscience Infrastructure.

The seminar also included discussions between KAEU R&D Directorate and Prof. Dr. Meltem Bahçelioğlu, focusing on joint projects and training programs that could strengthen regional partnerships while expanding the research infrastructure network of the university. At the end of the seminar, the R&D Directorate team and Prof. Dr. Meltem Bahçelioğlu visited Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, in his office for a brief meeting and discussion.
