The Accreditation Field Visits carried out by the Medical Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (TEPDAD) to the KAEU Faculty of Medicine have been completed. TEPDAD team conducted the field visits between October 21-24, 2024. The TEPDAD team conducts field visits to the Faculties of Medicine that apply for accreditation after reviewing the existing Self-Assessment Reports of the Faculties of Medicine. The field visits contribute to raising the quality standards of institutions and identifying areas for improvement. These visits, which aim to improve the quality of medical education, are organized to evaluate the accreditation processes of universities' medical programs.
TEPDAD team visited Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil before the field evaluation. During the visit, Rector Karahocagil received information about the process from the TEPDAD team.
During the site visits, TEPDAD experts conducted a detailed analysis by observing the KAEU Faculty of Medicine's education methods, infrastructure, and student satisfaction. During the visits, TEPDAD experts evaluated the experiences of academic staff, student feedback, curriculum practices, and the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS).
Accreditation processes are of great importance to ensure that medical education meets international standards and to improve the quality of graduates. In this context, TEPDAD aims to improve the quality of education of Faculties of Medicine and support continuous development through site visits. The Management of the KAEU Faculty of Medicine thanked the chairman and the evaluation team who carried out the field visit and the academic and administrative staff who actively supported the process.
