A conference titled “Where is the World Going: Opportunities and Threats” was organized by the Akademik Gelişim ve Düşünce Student Community. Academician and Author Prof. Dr. Mete Gündoğan attended the conference as a speaker. On October 23, 2024, Abdullah Doğru, a Member of the Court of Accounts, deans, directors, academic and administrative staff, and students attended the conference held at Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center 15 July National Will Hall.

Before the conference, Academician and Author Prof. Dr. Mete Gündoğan visited the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, and they had a short meeting.

After the visit, Prof. Dr. Mete Gündoğan gave a presentation titled "Where is the World Going: Opportunities and Threats". In his presentation, Gündoğan noted the effects of economic crises on countries and explained the reflection of the global order on our region. Prof. Dr. Mete Gündoğan said that the maps have changed, the ownership of energy resources has changed hands, high technology has been taken under control, globalization has been imposed and the foundations of belief have been tried to be changed, and emphasized that these changes were the effects of the global order.
