A Cooperation Protocol was signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and the Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The protocol ceremony took place on October 18, 2024, in the rector’s office, with the participation of Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Chairman of the Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mustafa Yılmaz, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Musa Özata and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, General Secretary Dr. Hüseyin İlter, officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferhat Çetin.

The protocol aims to promote cooperation between the university and industry, including joint projects, research, and scientific publications; the organization of joint academic and scientific activities such as congresses, symposiums, workshops, panels, and conferences; and cultural events. In particular, support will be prioritized for activities related to the Abdal Tradition, Neşet Ertaş, and contemporary Abdals, as Kırşehir is the first city accepted into the "UNESCO Creative Cities Network" in the field of music. Additionally, the protocol seeks to enhance collaboration between the institutions in social, cultural, and industrial fields, ensuring that all activities are conducted on a reciprocal basis within the regulations and resources of both institutions to provide mutual institutional benefit.

In his remarks on the subject,  Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized the importance of providing all necessary support to the development of Kırşehir’s industry, noting that it was vital for the university’s R&D activities to be carried out with common stakeholders. He also expressed the university’s commitment to supporting academic and scientific activities, such as workshops, conferences, and panels, within the framework of university-industry collaboration. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil concluded by wishing that the protocol would be beneficial to both the university and the province.
