Emphasizing the importance of inter-institutional bilateral relations, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil signed two cooperation protocols with the Rector of OSTİM Technical University Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek. These protocols, related to Cooperation and Project and Research Development, and Intellectual Property Rights Cooperation, were signed between the two university rectors on October 8, 2024.
The scope of the protocols includes topics such as education, vocational and technical training, project studies, consultancy services, seminars, conferences in the fields determined by both universities, Akhism Culture and Professional Ethics, activities related to the construction, assimilation and dissemination of Ahilik-centered entrepreneurship, and cooperation in Akhism-centered studies to be carried out, and issues related to cooperation in project studies, field research, scientific research, design development, measurement and testing services, consultancy services, seminars, conferences, patents, utility models, designs in the fields determined between both universities. With the protocols, providing information support for the joint realization of project activities that will enable the parties to harmonize and upgrade their design-production competencies and competencies in line with developing and changing technologies, preparing and implementing joint projects to increase the usage areas of new technologies and designs, field research, needs analysis, It is aimed to carry out joint project studies on issues such as technology transfer, R&D studies, to provide the opportunity to work with academicians who carry out or have carried out studies in the relevant field of expertise within the scope of the content of the projects planned and carried out by the parties, within the scope of jointly carried out projects and within the scope of joint decisions to be taken, to carry out academic publications on the subject, including the projects of the parties. Again, within the scope of the protocol, both universities will be able to jointly carry out studies for the commercialization of patents, utility model, and design registration studies that are currently in their portfolios, and the participation of the parties in official negotiations regarding these studies is aimed to be ensured.
Following the signing of the protocols, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed his support for inter-institutional bilateral cooperation and wished for the signed protocols with OSTİM Technical University to be beneficial to both universities.
