Rector of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, attended the 2024-2025 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony organized by the Higher Education Council. The Academic Year Opening Ceremony took place on October 8, 2024, at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that they have always put education at the top of their agenda since the day they took over the duty of governing the country with the trust of the Turkish people and that they have identified the improvement of the Turkish education system at every stage from pre-school education to higher education as their main priority. “We have decisively implemented many regulations in a wide range of fields that seem impossible when we look back today,” said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, adding that the number of higher education institutions has reached 208 as of today, up from 76 in 2002. At the end of his speech, President Erdoğan wished the 2024-2025 academic year to be beneficial and congratulated the scientists and universities that got the 2024 Outstanding Achievement Awards of the Council of Higher Education.
Making evaluations after the ceremony, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahococagil said that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University would continue to develop projects that would contribute to the scientific, academic, economic, and social development of our country within the scope of the vision of Turkiye Century. At the same time, Rector Karahocagil stated that as a university, in addition to education and training activities, they were also involved in activities that would benefit the society with R&D studies, and wished that the 2024-2025 academic year would be beneficial to our country.
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) Numan Kurtulmuş met with the rectors in Ankara for the 2024-2025 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony. In the Meeting Program with the Rectors, which was also attended by the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) Numan Kurtulmuş provided important evaluations on the developments in the education system and values education.
