The Turkish Amputee National Football Team, which has made us proud at European and World Championships, has started their training camp at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The team, which will compete in the Balkan Championship, is training with their full squad at our city's facilities and university. As part of Amateur Sports Week, the Turkish Amputee National Football Team visited Kırşehir and played an exhibition match at KAEU Stadium, exciting the audience. Furthermore, our National Team will hold training sessions throughout the week at the KAEU Stadium.

The Turkish Amputee National Football Team, which will participate in the Balkan Championship starting next week, will not only train at KAEU Stadium but also undergo health screenings, measurements, and medical check-ups throughout the week at KAEU Sports Health Research, Application, and Thermal Rehabilitation Center (SAUTER), conducted by our expert doctors. Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which has brought one of the few sports health centers in our country to our city, continues its efforts to become a top destination for health tourism in the region. In a statement,  Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil said that SAUTER was one of the pilot university projects and that they aimed to spread sports health and health tourism activities across the region. He added that one of their goals was to contribute to the development of a new sector in the region by pioneering geothermal-based health applications through innovative approaches. Rector Karahocagil emphasized that they launched this project to conduct research, applications, and thermal rehabilitation activities aimed at protecting and improving the health of individuals who exercise and engage in sports, enhancing their quality of life, and helping athletes reach peak performance. Expressing his pleasure in hosting the Turkish Amputee National Football Team at the university, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil noted that the National Team's health check-ups were being conducted by expert doctors at SAUTER.
