Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, who has a strong relationship with the bureaucracy of Kırşehir, together with the Deputy of Kırşehir Necmettin Erkan. During the visit took place on September 24, 2024, at the rectorate office, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş and Prof. Dr. Musa Özata and Secretary General Dr.  Hüseyin İlter accompanied them. 

Deputy of Kırşehir Necmettin Erkan highlighted his close interest in the developments in Kırşehir and KAEU and stated that they would always keep supporting Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which was regarded as the window of the city to the world. 

In a meeting where the developments in Kırşehir and the activities of KAEU were evaluated, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University entered a new academic term with modern technology and highly skilled academic staff. He also mentioned that the investments made in KAEU would contribute to the development of the region. Rector Karahocagil noted that KAEU Central Library, completed with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' Spor Toto Organization, was now open for students and the citizens of Kırşehir.

During the visit, Deputy Necmettin Erkan and Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil visited the newly completed Central Library of KAEU. Library and Documentation Department Head, Dilber Sarıkaya, provided information to Deputy Erkan and Rector Karahocagil regarding the physical space of the Central Library. She stated that KAEU Central Library, including the library building, landscape area, and parking lot, covers 18,397.61 square meters. President Sarıkaya explained that the library building was three stories high and that all details had been meticulously considered for academic staff, students, and anyone in need. She emphasized that the first floor of KAEU Central Library included individual study rooms, group study rooms, event halls, a 24-hour study room, an internet room, a noisy study room, a 100-seat hall, a cinema room, a room for disabled use, an audiobook room, archives, and bookshelves. Continuing her speech, Library and Documentation Department Head Dilber Sarıkaya added: “On the second floor, there are 2 study rooms of 366 m², 1 study room of 206 m², 1 study room of 307 m², and administrative offices. On the top floor of our library, there are 2 bookshelves of 500 m², 1 bookshelf of 201 m², 1 bookshelf of 398 m², 1 bookshelf of 399 m², and 3 group study rooms. Additionally, in KAEU Central Library, where importance iccs given to the surrounding landscape, we have a 1,995 m² lawn area, various trees and ornamental plants, and a parking lot for 100 vehicles.”

Deputy Erkan and Rector Karahocagil stated that the KAEU Central Library was built in harmony with modern technology and was now operational. They wished that this fully equipped library would be beneficial for KAEU and Kırşehir.
