An Orientation Program was organized for students newly enrolled at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University for the 2024-2025 academic year. The program took place on September 18, 2024, at the Ahi Evran Congress and Cultural Center, in the 15 July National Will Hall. Participants included the university's Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter, department heads, academic and administrative staff, as well as students from the Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil gave the opening speech of the Orientation Program, expressing gratitude to the students for choosing Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. He emphasized that the university was the one expected to prepare students for life and society, while the students' duty was to perform their professions to the best of their ability when they began their careers. He also shared insights on the Akhism Culture, stating, “Kırşehir and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University are the capital of Akhism.” Highlighting Akhism as a civilization project, Rector Karahocagil noted that it strengthened social solidarity and provided order in society. He described Akhism as a highly valuable system, adding that it contributed not only to societal order but also to personal development. He continued: "Akhism is a valuable system that contributes to both societal order and individual growth. At Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, we offer an education curriculum based on Akhism values."

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil also provided a brief history of the university, noting that it was a young and pioneering institution, leading with quality initiatives inspired by Akhism values. He emphasized that the student-centered education system was shaping the future of higher education in Turkiye. He also informed students about the university’s award-winning and locally developed Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS), the Ahi Competency-Based Education Project (AYDEP), and pilot projects under the Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program.

Rector Karahocagil emphasized that KAEU offered not only theoretical education but also practical, and briefly mentioned the Social Transcript Application, which would be implemented this year. Additionally, he highlighted that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University held full institutional accreditation. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil noted that within the scope of the university's quality efforts, it has reached its peak by achieving the 5-Star EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Award for Excellence in Performance. He congratulated the students on choosing Kırşehir Ahi Evran University as the best option and wished them success in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Following the opening speeches, representatives from various departments, including the Education Quality Assurance System Coordinatorship, Registrar's Office, Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports, Head of the University Library, Directorate of Information Technology, Career Planning and Research Center, Social Transcript Application, and the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center, gave presentations to the students about their units and areas of work.

Following the presentations, a concert was performed by students from the Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts.

The Orientation Program, which began on September 18, 2024, will continue on September 19, 2024, for students of the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Sports Sciences, and Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts; on September 20, 2024, for students of the Vocational School of Health Services; on September 23, 2024, for students of the Faculty of Art and Sciences and Faculty of Engineering and Architecture; on September 24, 2024, for students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Faculty of Agriculture; on September 25, 2024, for students of the Vocationals School of Social Sciences; and on September 26, 2024, for students of the Faculty of Theology and the Vocational School of Technical Sciences.
