A special stand for Ashura Day was set up within KAEU Social Facilities, where Ashura was served to academic and administrative staff. The event, organized by the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports, was attended by Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, and Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, as well as Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter.


Before the organized event, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil gave a short speech, reminding people that Ashura is one of the most important values of our ancient culture. Emphasizing the significance of Ashura for our tradition, Karahocagil said, “I believe that days like this are important in reminding us of our unity, togetherness, and harmony. As a university, we strive to hold such events every year. I thank everyone who contributed.” After the speeches, prayers were said, and Rector Karahocagil served the Ashura.
