As part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events, a "National Unity and Democracy March" was held with the participation of an enthusiastic crowd. The program began with a march accompanied by the Mehteran Unit from the Governor's Office and continued in Cacabey Square. In his speech, Governor Buhara expressed that they experienced a night of lessons on July 15, 2016, where the will of the nation was attempted to be usurped, saying, "I wish our living veterans a healthy and long life. May Allah never allow such a dark night to happen to our country again. I remind you once again that our greatest strength comes from our national unity, togetherness, and brotherhood, and I salute the heroes of July 15 with respect." Subsequently, the documentary "Ahmetim, Mehmetim, Şehitlerim," prepared by the Ministry of Interior for July 15, was watched with interest by the crowd in the square.
Citizens participated in the march with flags and banners, giving messages of unity. Throughout the march, slogans themed around democracy and national unity were frequently chanted. In a brief statement after the march, Rector Karahocagil stated that the people who took to the squares on the night of July 15, 2016, wrote a legend, that in the Century of Turkiye, subversive elements would never be allowed, and he remembered the heroic martyrs with mercy and gratitude.
