The 60th Library Week activities organized by KAEU Head of the University Library began with an opening ceremony. KAEÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, General Secretary Dr. Hüseyin İlter, Director of Head of University Library Dilber Sarıkaya, unit managers, academic and administrative staff, and students attended the opening program. Speaking at the Library Activities Week opening program, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated that he was proud of the library, which was one of the significant achievements of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, stating, "Success is a team effort, and our new library building, which will soon be in service, will not only serve our students but also contribute to our city and region." Emphasizing the importance of acquiring the habit of reading books for a better future and the need to instill this habit in children, Rector Karahocagil thanked the Library and Documentation Department for organizing the week-long activities and the contributing academics and all participants. Following the opening speeches of the 60th Library Week Activities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maksut Yiğitbaş delivered a conference titled "The Role of Reading in the Construction of Civilizations." The event concluded with a music recital, plaque presentation to the personnel who borrowed books most, and surprise gift draws.
